Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective October 20, 2026

Some U.S. state laws, including Washington’s My Health My Data Act and Nevada’s consumer health data law, treat information about your fitness and physical activity as “consumer health data.” This page explains how Pacemate (“we”) handles that data. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes all the information Pacemate collects. If this page conflicts with any other Pacemate privacy notice regarding consumer health data, this page controls.

Consumer health data we collect

Pacemate does not read Apple Health and does not collect medical, diagnostic, reproductive or biometric information.

Sources

We collect this data directly from you and from your phone’s GPS while you track a run.

How and why we use it

Only to provide the features you ask for: tracking and showing your runs, progress, grades and insights, training plans, goals, reminders, and spoken run updates, and, if you have an account, backing up your data and syncing it to your other phones. We do not use consumer health data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to make decisions about you.

We collect and use consumer health data only as necessary to provide the app and features you request. If we ever want to collect or use it for any other purpose, or share it beyond what is described below, we will first ask for your separate, express consent.

Sharing

If you create an account, your consumer health data is stored by our database provider, Supabase, which processes it only on our behalf to provide the service. Crash reports sent to Sentry are not designed to contain your run data. If you use Pacemate without an account, your consumer health data stays on your phone and is not sent to us.

We do not share consumer health data with any other third party or affiliate, and we do not sell it. We may disclose it if required by law, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We do not set up geofences around health-care facilities.
